Of Hibnenry Boneyard ler ardus
You're visisting a mountain graveyard, infamously dubbed a boneyard, full of monsters past. You aren't afraid of the bones per se, but maybe nervous of meeting the owner, to see if you're worthy of taking over such a place...
This game was made for the O2A2 VN Jam 2025, a micro Visual Novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1000 word limit.
1000 word limit, and only one sprite, bg, music!
gameplay includes:
- 5-10 minutes of playtime
- 5 quiz questions!
- one large background
- one sprite
- one voice actor, voiced by the lovely Ariane Fandub!
- one little tune in the background
- one little sfx
- two endings

This is very creative! First off I love the character: it's rare to see older people drawn actually old, and I think you managed to really capture the essence of this old lady. Very clever use of a single background too, with all the zooming on the relevant bones through the conversation.
Is this based on real folklore / a specific culture, or are the monsters and the names all made up? Great game!

It was a lot of fun to draw ol' Hibnenry! I was drawing a bunch of my older ocs before this and wanted to continue the streak. I'm happy she's well recieved!

It's all fictional! I've been focusing on using jams to make little snippets of my fictional world, it helps build it haha. Someday I'll make a more introductory game haha! Thank you again!
This is incredibly well-made, and a great use of the restrictions of this jam!! The art is absolutely lovely, the voice acting and music are fantastic, and I really admire all the detail put in to the UI, especially the cute save/load screen with the hand grabbing bones!
